Sea Grapes on Discovery Bay

No fuss, no muss—just a relaxing Caribbean holiday at Sea Grapes on Discovery Bay. Though this six-bedroom vacation rental is set on one of Jamaica’s signature white-sand beaches and offers the pampering of a full staff, it’s unpretentious and relaxed, the perfect place to savor laid-back luxury with friends or family.

Sea Grapes opens to a beautiful beach and water views that can be enjoyed from the pool and gazebo. For active guests, there are kayaks and snorkeling gear, as well as tennis and volleyball courts and a swingset for children. After sunset, heat up the barbecue, switch on the cable TV or share photos via Wi-Fi. Your stay also includes the services of a cook, butler and housekeeper.

From the arched trellises framing its wide veranda to its mint-green walls, the villa’s traditional style never fails to charm. While the sitting and dining areas on the veranda are all tropical elegance in white wicker and wrought iron, the open-plan indoor spaces are more simply furnished, with roll-arm sofas and a rich wood dining set.

There are three bedrooms in the main house at Sea Grapes and three in a cottage. In the main house, there are two bedrooms with a king bed and one bedroom with a queen bed. The cottage has one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with a queen bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. All six bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

The villa is only a 7-minute walk from Discovery Bay, where you can learn about the area’s history at the open-air museum at Columbus Park. By car, it’s a 25-minute drive to the popular resort area of Ocho Rios, where you’ll find hiking paths to waterfalls alongside shopping and dining, and a 75-minute drive to Montego Bay Airport.
