Perched just above the waters of Winding Bay with views of the sunset over the water, the two-bedroom luxury Bahamas vacation rental is an unforgettable setting for a Caribbean honeymoon or a relaxed spot for a beach getaway with a few family members.
Your stay at Sea’s The Day includes the use of a golf cart and access to shared amenities at the Abaco Club, from an infinity pool and a fitness center to tennis courts and water-sports equipment. The villa opens to a private sun deck where you can read, nap or simply watch the waves, as well as a shaded oceanfront porch with a barbecue and al-fresco dining area where you can gaze at the sunset and linger as the stars come out.
From the outside, the villa has traditional beach-cottage bones painted a bold cyan hue. In keeping with its playful name, the interiors of Sea’s The Day are equally bright and cheerful. The expansive great room, painted a watery blue, has plenty of large windows, vaulted beadboard ceilings and exposed beams for a sunny, airy feel. Nautical stripes in vivid shades of blue, green and yellow cover the chairs and rug in the sitting area, the seat cushions around the formal dining table and even the stools at the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen, carrying the jaunty theme throughout the space.
The villa’s hotel-worthy master suite has a king bed, en-suite bathroom and ocean views, and opens directly to the terrace. The other bedroom has a queen bed and access to a hall bathroom. Whether you choose the main-level bedroom or the one tucked into a loft above the great room, you’ll enjoy the same lively striped fabrics and ocean-inspired hues of blue and green.
The easiest way to reach Sea’s The Day and the Abaco Islands is via Marsh Harbour Airport, 19 miles away. You can also stop off in downtown Marsh Harbour to do some shopping or try out a local restaurant. From the villa itself, it’s a 4-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute walk to the Abaco Club spa and golf course. It’s worth taking time from your holiday to explore nearby Little Harbour and the village of Cherokee, as well as Abaco National Park, home to the Bahama parrot.
