Not everyone can say they’ve vacationed on an exclusive private island. In the picturesque Exuma Cays rests Fowl Cay island, a sandy spot that strikes the perfect balance between luxury and charm. Sweetwater Villa, one of the island’s six villas, can be rented separately or together with the entire island, depending on the size of your group.
The most special aspect of the Fowl Cay experience are the amenities. During your stay, our chef will cook each of your meals. The housekeeping staff will take care of all of the cleaning, and a villa host will be there to answer any questions or provide island insight. Plus, whether you want to stretch out on the private beach or opt for something more active, the tennis court, private gym, and paddle boards provide everything for sun-filled fun.
Inside, Sweetwater Villa combines the comforts of home with a Caribbean island flair. Pastels reminiscent of colonial-style homes paint the walls, while splashes of tropical design patterns bring Bahamian life to the space. Far-reaching windows give views of the surrounding sea, and the storybook white porch, right on the sand, is the perfect spot to enjoy morning cappuccino and light reading.
The villa’s three bedrooms comfortably accommodate six. Two equally-appointed master bedrooms have a king size bed with en-suite, while the third room, ideal for the kids, has two twin beds and an en-suite as well. In the master suites, step right from your bed out to the powdery beach.
Staniel Cay island is a swift 10-minute boat ride away, where you’ll find an airport, library, and a couple of charming shops. Snorkelers will be happy to know the famous Thunderball Grotto is within arms reach, while animal lovers can take an afternoon to swim with the friendly beach pigs of Big Major Cay.

- The beaches in this destination may be affected by seaweed. The Guest acknowledges that Luxury Retreats and/or the Host’s responsibility extends solely to the immediate premises of the rented Property, and that no compensation will be considered in relation to limitation in the experience of the destination that may come as a consequence of a seaweed surge or associated local cleaning efforts.
- Main Dining Hall is open to outside yachters for meals unless the Exclusive Island Package is chosen.
