Your stay at Les Palmier includes the services of a chef, housekeeper and butler plus meals and beverages, so you’re free to relax in a chaise longue on the terrace, take a dip in the infinity pool (which has a swim-up bar) or drive one of two golf carts to the resort’s shared pools, fitness and tennis facilities, croquet lawn and putting green. There are bicycles and watersports equipment for you to borrow and wildlife for you discover at the Hawksbill Turtle Project. After a day of exploring, sip a cocktail at the villa’s outdoor wet bar and enjoy an ocean breeze with dinner at the al-fresco dining area.

The traditional Caribbean vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and fresh white paneling get an unexpected twist at Les Palmier, as architect Bob Moreland left the sides of the living and dining rooms open. With the house always open to the sunshine and breeze, you don’t even have to think about going outside—you’re already there. Dark wood furniture with cream-colored upholstery is high-contrast but charming, and striped accent pillows have a jaunty feel. Though chef service is included, the villa has a fully equipped kitchen, too.

Each of the villa’s five bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and DVD player, and air conditioning. There are two bedrooms with king beds, including a master suite with its own terrace and ocean views. There are two bedrooms with two twin beds each and one bedroom with a queen bed. Vaulted ceilings, white walls and bedding, and four-poster wooden beds draped with netting give the bedrooms romantic appeal.

If you’re flying to Antigua, plan on a 5-minute drive from V.C. Bird International Airport to the ferry dock, a 7-minute ferry ride to the island on which Jumby Bay is located and an 8-minute walk to Les Palmier itself. The villa is right on Jumby Bay Beach and just over a half-mile walk or ride from Pasture Bay Beach and the Hawksbill Turtle Project.

Additional rules

• All credit card holders must be aged 25 years and older at check-in.
• Guests arriving into V. C. Bird International Airport in Antigua can connect to Jumby Bay Island with the Jumby Bay resort ferry. A mandatory $85.00 per adult transfer fee includes a welcome at Antigua’s airport and escort by private car or van to the resort’s private ferry for journey to Jumby Bay. The transfer fee also includes return transfers to Antigua’s airport upon departure. Transfers are $40.00 + applicable taxes round-trip for children ages 2-12 years old and are complimentary for children under 2 years of age.
• Airport transfer fees for Guests arriving via private plane are available upon request. The current fee for Guests arriving via private plane is $150.00 + applicable taxes. This fee is a flat rate charged by the government, and is additional to the transfer fee charged by Jumby Bay.
