Of course, there’s a staff to see to your needs, but if you’d like to explore, the exclusive amenities of Jumby Bay Resort are a short walk or ride away.

If the villa’s covered ocean-facing veranda with sitting and dining areas doesn’t convince you that this is how life should be, the sunny terrace around the infinity pool and warm sands of two private beaches certainly will. Spend your stay relaxing and reading, brush up your serve on the tennis court or hop in the golf cart to discover resort amenities like shared pools, fitness facilities, a putting green and even a croquet lawn. Meals and beverages at the resort are included in your stay, but with chef and butler service, you could just as easily stay and dine at the villa.

The airy vaulted ceilings, stately columned verandas, dark wicker furniture and crisp white upholstery in the villa’s living and dining areas speak to traditional Caribbean style. But there are a few playful touches, too, like the bright green sectional in the media room that echoes the tropical landscaping outside. The fully equipped kitchen takes a sleeker direction, with flat-front white cabinets and a stylish breakfast bar.

Each of the four bedrooms at Turtle Reef has a king bed, en-suite bathroom and ocean views. Like the main living areas, the bedrooms’ style is rooted in tradition: vaulted ceilings, neutral tile floors and louvered shutters or doors. But the suites have even more romantic charm, from four-poster beds draped in netting to roll-arm benches and turned-leg chairs.

Turtle Reef has its own private stretches of sand, but you can also visit Pasture Bay Beach, a 10-minute walk away, to see the Hawksbill Turtle Project, or walk or ride the 1 mile to Jumby Bay Beach for a change of scenery. From the villa, it’s just under 1 mile to the Jumby Bay ferry dock, where you can catch the 7-minute ferry to Antigua proper. Once you’ve arrived at the Antigua ferry dock, it’s a 5-minute drive to V.C. Bird International Airport.

Additional rules

• All credit card holders must be aged 25 years and older at check-in.
• There are mandatory airport transfer fees.
• Guests arriving into V. C. Bird International Airport in Antigua can connect to Jumby Bay Island with the Jumby Bay resort ferry. A mandatory $85.00 per adult transfer fee includes a welcome at Antigua’s airport and escort by private car or van to the resort’s private ferry for journey to Jumby Bay. The transfer fee also includes return transfers to Antigua’s airport upon departure. Transfers are $40.00 + applicable taxes round-trip for children ages 2-12 years old and are complimentary for children under 2 years of age.
• Airport transfer fees for Guests arriving via private plane are available upon request. The current fee for Guests arriving via private plane is $150.00 + applicable taxes. This fee is a flat rate charged by the government, and is additional to the transfer fee charged by Jumby Bay.
