Named for the Greek word for “idle time,” Kairos helps you truly get away from it all. Set on a private island off Antigua, the oceanfront villa is steps from the white sand and turquoise water of Jumby Bay Beach and offers guests access to the exclusive amenities at Jumby Bay Resort. Spacious Mediterranean-inspired interiors laid out around a courtyard and seven bedrooms spread across the main house and two guest cottages can welcome the whole family.

Take in the gorgeous ocean views from almost every room in the house or the lounging and dining areas on the pergola-covered terrace. Bring your beach read to one of the chaise longues by the infinity pool, draw the curtains and take a nap on the daybed or follow the steps down to the beach. Hop in one of the villa’s two golf carts to reach the resort’s shared pools, fitness and tennis facilities, croquet lawn, putting green and more. Meals and beverages at the resort are included in your stay, but if you’re traveling with a crowd, chef, butler and housekeeping service will make light work of everyone’s needs.

Nestled under palm trees, laid out around a lush courtyard and open to the ocean breezes, Kairos truly feels like part of the Caribbean landscape. The colorful interiors reflect both the tropical flora and more exotic locales, from the bright yellow walls and striped upholstery of the living room to the terracotta red walls, Moorish arches and whimsical camel fabric of the dining room. The fully equipped kitchen features gourmet appliances and an inviting breakfast nook.

There’s one bedroom in the main house at Kairos and three bedrooms in each of two guest cottages; all seven bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs with DVD players and air conditioning. The main-house master suite has a king bed, and in each guest cottage, you’ll find one bedroom with a king bed and two bedrooms with two twin beds each. Larger parties can use the daybed in a separate room for extra accommodations.

Even the journey to Kairos is a chance to leave your cares behind. If you’re flying to Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport, you’ll make a 5-minute drive from the airport to the Antigua ferry dock, a 7-minute ferry ride to the resort’s private island and an 8-minute walk from the Jumby Bay ferry dock to the villa itself. From the villa’s location on Jumby Bay Beach, it’s just over a half-mile to Pasture Bay Beach and the Hawksbill Turtle Project.

Additional rules

• All credit card holders must be aged 25 years and older at check-in.
• There are mandatory airport transfer fees.
• Guests arriving into V. C. Bird International Airport in Antigua can connect to Jumby Bay Island with the Jumby Bay resort ferry. A mandatory $85.00 per adult transfer fee includes a welcome at Antigua’s airport and escort by private car or van to the resort’s private ferry for journey to Jumby Bay. The transfer fee also includes return transfers to Antigua’s airport upon departure. Transfers are $40.00 + applicable taxes round-trip for children ages 2-12 years old and are complimentary for children under 2 years of age.
• Airport transfer fees for Guests arriving via private plane are available upon request. The current fee for Guests arriving via private plane is $150.00 + applicable taxes. This fee is a flat rate charged by the government, and is additional to the transfer fee charged by Jumby Bay.
