Villa Del Mar is an exquisite luxury home at Playa del Carmen, situated just steps from the beach within the Playacar Phase One gated community. The superbly appointed residence includes two terraces, high-end amenities for dining and entertainment, and a talented staff, while its prime location offers serene privacy within walking distance of myriad activities. The home evokes the elegance of Old Mexico, with its luminous white facades, terracotta rooftop, and columns of weathered stone. The lower terrace features a swimming pool traversed by a delightful marble footbridge leading to the main entrance. Ample sitting areas invite you to bask in the Caribbean sunlight or relax in the cool shade, and there is an excellent rustic grill for barbeque cooking. In the evening, gather on the rooftop terrace for alfresco meals, delicious drinks, and soothing hot tub soaks while gazing at the dreamy sea.

The main interior living room (off the pool terrace) features peaked ceilings with rich wood beams, abundant natural light, and exquisite décor blending modern comfort with antique charm. A fully equipped kitchen with chef-grade appliances and a marble bar serves a beautiful wooden dining table for eight. Downstairs, the wonderful party room is like a deluxe cantina, with a full bar, billiard table, wine cellar, lounge, and casual dining table.

The master suite opens directly to the upper terrace and includes a king bed and deluxe ensuite bathroom with jetted tub. On the ground floor, the large junior suite opens to the pool terrace and also features a jetted tub in its bathroom, set within a lovely niche. Two other guestrooms—one with king bed, one with two queen beds—share a bathroom between them. The spacious media room has two queen-size sofa beds.

Villa del Mar offers one of the finest possible locations at Playa del Carmen, within walking distance of the beach, a spa, tennis courts, and the town’s famous Quinta Avenida. The community also includes two excellent golf courses, as well as extraordinary Mayan ruins that guests are free to explore.

• This destination may be affected by the Seaweed Surge impacting many Caribbean destinations. Luxury Retreats and/or the Host’s responsibility extends solely to the immediate premises of the rented Property, and that no compensation will be considered in relation to limitation in the experience of the destination that may come as a consequence to the Seaweed Surge or with the local cleaning efforts.

• Holiday bookings must be from Saturday to Saturday.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Firm 95 days

• Cancel up to 95 days before your trip and get a 50% refund of accommodation fees. Cancel within 95 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
