Your holiday at Villa Pajaro includes round-trip airport transfers, rental car delivery and concierge service. You’ll be welcomed to the property by chef-prepared snacks and margaritas, fresh flowers, and a selection of tequila and beer. The hardest part? Deciding where to sip your refreshments, given the choice of lounge chairs in the sun by the infinity pool and hot tub or the shaded outdoor sitting area. A barbecue, dining area, sound system and firepit make it easy to entertain into the evening.

Inside, the villa puts a chic modern twist on traditional Spanish Colonial style. The hallmarks are all there, from the tiled roof and stone floors to charming arched windows. But details like mod dining chairs, a branch chandelier and intricately patterned tile add an on-trend touch in the open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen. Retractable glass walls even let you open the living room and fully equipped kitchen to the terrace, creating one large indoor-outdoor living space.

Each of the four bedrooms at Villa Pajaro has an en-suite bathroom and ocean views, making the property a wonderful alternative to a resort. Three bedrooms with king beds and terraces rival any honeymoon suite for comfort, and the fourth bedroom features two queen beds to accommodate larger parties. A sofa bed with its own bathroom gives you the option of an extra bedroom.

You don’t even need to put on sandals to follow the staircase from the villa down to the sands of Palmilla Beach, though adventurous types may want to make the 5-minute walk to the local favorite Zipper’s surf break. Guests of Villa Pajaro are welcome at the Palmilla golf and tennis clubs and restaurants; ask your concierge for help arranging a tee time or reservation. For fine dining, great shopping and lively nightlife, downtown Cabo San Lucas is only a 30-minute drive away.
