Casa Yakunah is a breathtaking beachfront villa within Sian Ka’an, a pristine ecological preserve along Mexico’s Riviera Maya, just south of Tulum. Perched on a lush isthmus at Boca Paila, the private estate enjoys over 325 feet of beach frontage and spectacular views of both the Caribbean Sea and Caapechen Lagoon. The beautifully designed home draws most of its energy from the sun, rain, and wind, while its spacious, superbly appointed living areas harmonize with the surroundings, blending rustic simplicity, traditional artistry, and high-end comforts. Gazing at the panoramic vistas from the villa’s rooftop, you’ll appreciate the ancient Mayan meaning of Sian Ka’an: “where the sky was born.” Sun-kissed lounge chairs and an alfresco dining table accompany the infinity pool, with views to the horizon in every direction. The lower deck, on the main floor, features ample living areas cloistered amid lush tropical plants, with lovely sea views over the coastal forest. A wooden path and stairway descend to sunbeds on the beach’s soft sand. The home comes equipped with kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment for exploring the vibrant sea.

The main interior living area is a cavernous pavilion with thatched ceilings, dangling lanterns, and a comfortable lounge. Doors to the deck imbibe the light and breath of the Caribbean. The kitchen is fully equipped with chef-grade appliances and serves a lovely dining table. Natural wood accents, soothing white walls, and touches of tropical color evoke an ambiance of vivacious serenity.

All five bedrooms are exquisitely furnished and feature air conditioning, safes, TVs, and iPod docking stations. There are four bedrooms with king beds and ensuite or private bathrooms, and one room with a queen bed and access to a powder room. Each room opens to an outdoor living area with views of the sea or jungle.

Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, Bian Sa’an is world-renowned for its pristine forests and beaches, extraordinary biodiversity, plentiful Mayan archeological sites, and mangrove-lined waterways. Eco-adventures and sporting activities abound in the vicinity, including fishing, kite boarding, diving, and golf.

• The beaches in this destination may be affected by seaweed. Luxury Retreats and/or the Host’s responsibility extends solely to the immediate premises of the rented Property, and that no compensation will be considered in relation to limitation in the experience of the destination that may come as a consequence of a seaweed surge or associated local cleaning efforts.
• Pets under 15lbs are allowed at the property for an additional fee of $500 USD per week.

Refundable 95 days

• Cancel up to 95 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 95 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
