True to its name, which means “close to heaven,” Villa Cerca del Cielo is a stunning contemporary property located in Pedregal that puts you close to the ocean and the famed Cabo sunshine. It’s also close to tennis, golf and the dining and nightlife in downtown Cabo San Lucas. With six suite-style bedrooms, a private pool and rooftop terrace and sleek modern interiors, the villa feels like a chic seaside boutique hotel.

Several levels of terraces facing the ocean host the villa’s heated pool, jetted tub and outdoor lounging and dining areas. There’s an al-fresco shower for post-swim rinses, a gas barbecue for preparing local specialties and a garden for quiet relaxation. At the top of the house, a rooftop deck is an ideal spot to soak in the sun or watch the stars. In the evenings, cozy up with a book around the fireplace or share pics of the day via the house’s Internet access.

Inside Villa Cerca del Cielo, smooth white walls play off brick ceilings, exposed stone and glass brick to create a fresh, contemporary ambience that’s enlivened by textural contrast. The open-plan main living area stretches out under a barrel-vaulted ceiling; sleek white sofas are gathered around a fireplace and accented with wicker side tables for a sitting area that’s both modern and welcoming. A floral-print settee is a whimsical seating option at the glass-topped dining table, and high-backed stools invite guests to linger at the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen.

Though they’re spread out across four different levels of the house, each of the six bedrooms at Villa Cerca del Cielo has an en-suite bathroom, ocean view and access to a terrace or balcony. There are three bedrooms with king beds, two bedrooms with two queen beds each and one bedroom with one queen bed. The bedrooms’ fresh white floors, walls and bedding make for a calm setting, while bright throw pillows and painted furniture are playful touches. The shape of the great room’s arched ceiling reappears in the bedrooms’ windows and headboards as well.

Your stay at Villa Cerca del Cielo includes an airport transfer from Los Cabos International Airport, a 29-mile drive from the villa. During your stay, plan to spend a day at Tabasco Beach, 2.5 miles away, or Médano Beach, 3.5 miles away, and explore Land’s End, 1.5 miles away, downtown Cabo San Lucas, 2 miles away, Cabo del Sol, 4.5 miles away, and San Jose del Cabo, 21 miles away. Challenge friends or family at Tennis Club Pedregal, just under a half-mile away, or Canchas de Tenis, just over 1 mile away, and challenge yourself at Cabo Real Golf Club, 14.5 miles from the villa.

Additional rules

• All credit card holders must be aged 25 years and older at check-in.
• No pets are allowed unless specifically pre-authorized.
• No smoking permitted inside the property.
• No events such as weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties will be permitted unless they are specifically pre-authorized. Event fees may apply if approved.
• Occupancy: The total number of persons allowed at any time is restricted to the contracted number of guests for each reservation. Renter must disclose the number of persons in his/her group as well as the name of every member of his/her group and the reason for stay.
• Excessive noise is not allowed at any time. Quiet time is 10pm-10am.
• 7 night minimum for 12/25 and 1/1, if taking both holidays a 14 night minimum is required.
• High School/College spring break groups not permitted.
• Maximum of 12 guests (family groups only). Extra charge of $150 per person per night up to 14 guests.
